Description

This transform determines if an MX record exists for the given Domain. The MX record is the mail exchanger record and is returned as an MX Record Entity. The IP address of this record gives a good indication of the network location of the target as most organizations keep their mail close to their network. This is normally used in the infrastructure foot printing of an organization. Example

From our domain we can retrieve the MX Records. We can see that we are using Google Apps to host our email accounts. From the MX Records we can retrieve the IP address and then location.
